Summary: When you live in the deep south, you’d better know how to swim. In case you haven't noticed, the coast is shrinking, and land is slowly becoming a privilege. You can imagine how well this bodes when a hurricane shows up and really leaves the neighborhood waterlogged. But it's no problem for the creatures that thrive in such conditions...

History: A massive hurricane strikes Florida and leaves a lot of it submerged under water. It's bad enough for those trying to escape the disaster, but then some nearby predators move in. For some folks trying to find a way out of their flooded home, a group of alligators is the last thing they need. And they will slam their jaws on anything that disturbs their new nest.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Surprisingly, few humans are killed in comparison to how many alligators bite the dust. The place ends up flooding harder and harder, but by the point it can't get any worse, a helicopter finally comes to rescue the survivors.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-Being trapped in a rapidly flooding home full of deadly reptiles is a nightmare scenario that sounds a bit too real. Being stalked by one gator is bad enough, but a whole group of them guarantees death, especially if they're guarding eggs. You'd better hope you have something to use against them.

Trivia: -The making of this film was absolute Hell for starring actor Kaya Scodelario. While she admitted to getting a lot physically stronger because of it, it often left her injured and bruised by the end of each day.

-This film was directed by Alexander Aja. It was his second monster film after "Piranha 3D".
